Background
Ulle has been originating loans since 1997, when he started in a small office in Greenville, South Carolina. When the company wanted to expand, he gladly moved west to Colorado to open and manage an office for them. After being in Colorado for two years, Ulle started his own brokerage, which merged with another firm in 2001, where he remained for nine years before joining First Cal in June of 2010.

On a meaningful life experience:
"I spent a year of my life traveling the world with my wife and a film crew, hosting and promoting the travel show '1,000 places to go before you die.' I wouldn’t consider it professional experience, but it was pretty damn cool."

On what he finds most rewarding:
"I enjoy the opportunity of working with first-time home buyers. There are so many options and scenarios for buyers to consider, and the role of an advisor is to put the buyer in the right program, and provide good advice during adverse times, which I enjoy doing."

On helping his clients be successful:
"I conduct business under the notion that 'my happiness is guaranteed if I help someone else find theirs today.' It not only brings me joy to help borrows achieve their goals, but my borrowers appreciate my effort, and in turn send other business to me."

On what inspires him:
"Dan Rawitch, our sales manager at First Cal, has been very inspiring. Motivation can be contagious, and I’ve learned so much from watching how Dan gives his best to all loan originators. Watching him has redefined what I think is possible, and as a result I set even loftier goals for myself."

On his priorities:
"My highest priority is my family. It is my hope that my efforts to help others at my work will result in happiness for their family as well."

On how he spends his personal time:
"I enjoy playing sports, especially ice hockey and snowboarding. During the summer months, I get a lot of relaxation out of tending my vegetable garden, and sharing the spoils of my labor with my co-workers."
